Public Participation

A key of success of the Study is ensuring that stakeholders have a good understanding and general acceptance of the proposal. This Project has provided many opportunities to facilitate public participation through many channels of communication throughout the study. About 320 site visits and meetings were arranged from 2005 to end 2009 with more than 7,800 people visited the site. It means that in average, there were more than one site visits every week. Communication opportunities comprise:

Consultation/ Presentation to non-government organisations:
(Including green groups, professional bodies, TKO Community etc.)

 

 

Consultation/ Presentation to Statutory bodies:
(Including the Advisory Council on Environment, Sai Kung District Council, Country and Marine Park Board, Legislative Council and Executive Council etc.)

 

 

Other public communication initiative:
Such as Project website, 3D EIA, site visits etc.
