District
In 2006, EPD conducted 222 inspections to the 80 livestock farms (55 pig farms and 25 chicken farms) in the North District. A total of 35 complaints were received and 1 livestock farm was prosecuted for illegal discharge in 2006.
Most livestock farms in the North District are located in the catchments of three major watercourses, namely:
